El Lissitzky at the IMMA till 18th Oct 2015

In collaboration with the Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven NL, IMMA are showing the first ever exhibition in Ireland of works by El Lissitzky entitled 'El Lissitzky: The Artist and the State'.

The works are exhibited alongside 'archival material related to Alice Milligan and Maud Gonne’s theatrical tableaux, and newly commissioned and recent works by Rossella Biscotti, Núria Güell, Sarah Pierce and Hito Steyerl'. Radharc na Rúise / A View of Russia on TG4

Radharc na Rúise (A View of Russia), a new 4-part documentary series, starts on TG4 on Thursday, February 28th, at 9.30pm, and continues for three more Thursdays (with repeats on Fridays at 11.30pm).

 The series asks questions such as

• What are the similarities between the Russian and Irish character?
• How is Ireland imagined by the Russian people?

It focuses on the ordinary Russian people, their lives after the transition from communism to capitalism, and the surprising similarities they have with the Irish.

New journal of Irish literature in Russian translation

Introducing Ирландская литература / Irish Literature in Russian Translation, a new dual-language journal that is published by the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies, TCD, and the Gorky Literary Institute, Moscow, with support from Ireland Literature Exchange. It will be published every two years, both online and in print.
